Snov.io Email Finder: one credit per address, even when the result is “unknown”
The Email Finder is where Snov.io began in 2017, and it is still what most people look it up for. Every search is paid in credits, the first of the quotas that size a Sales Suite plan: 50 a month on the free plan, 1,000 on Starter, up to 100,000 on Ultra.
What a credit pays for
Email Search takes a name and a company domain and costs 1 credit per address returned as valid (green) or “unknown” (yellow); nothing is charged for grey (not found) or red (invalid) results. Domain Search lists the addresses Snov.io holds for a company, at 1 credit per batch of 50. Database Search filters Snov.io’s B2B database and charges 1 credit per prospect saved with a green or yellow email; searching and saving companies is free. The same page claims “500M+ verified contacts” and “over 50 million leads”, and a free account only sees the first 20 prospects of a search.
Bulk searches, from a file or a list of domains, start on Starter and stop at 100,000 prospects per user every 24 hours (150,000 per team).
Verifying a list you bring
The verifier charges 1 credit per address it can classify, valid or invalid; there, unlike in the finder, “unknown” results are free. A file can hold up to 100,000 addresses, again from Starter upwards. Testing the deliverability of one of your own mailboxes costs 50 credits according to the help centre; the pricing page FAQ used to say 25.
The same searches on Emelia
Emelia takes 1 credit only when it finds an email, which comes back already verified, and 0.25 credit to check an address from an imported list. Verifying 10,000 addresses therefore uses up to 10,000 Snov.io credits (Pro M includes 20,000 a month) against 2,500 Emelia credits.
Snov.io Chrome extensions: 4 of them, one built for LinkedIn and Sales Navigator
Snov.io offers 4 extensions on the Chrome Web Store. The best known finds emails on websites; the one people mean by “Snov.io LinkedIn extension” is LI Prospect Finder.
LI Prospect Finder on LinkedIn and Sales Navigator
LI Prospect Finder opens a side panel that follows you from one LinkedIn page to the next. It saves people from a search, a profile, a company’s employee list or an event’s attendees, and companies from a company search. On Sales Navigator it reads lead searches, up to 25 prospects per page, and account searches; its “Multipage” mode walks through several pages of results, waiting 7 to 14 seconds before each profile, and the extension has to stay open until it finishes.
A prospect saved with a green or yellow email costs 1 credit; “Save without email” keeps only the LinkedIn URL, for LinkedIn Automation, and costs nothing. Snov.io suggests about 150 prospects a day on a free LinkedIn account, 500 on Premium and up to 1,000 on Sales Navigator. The store listing (version 4.0.1, updated October 14, 2026, 4.9 stars from 105 ratings, 90,000 users) names “info@lipf.store” as publisher rather than Snovio Inc, though Snov.io’s own guides send you to it.
Emelia takes the other route on Sales Navigator: an “Export with Emelia” button inside a search hands the whole search to Emelia, which extracts the leads for export, for email finding in credits or for a campaign (how it works).
Email Finder, Email Verifier and Unlimited Email Tracker
Email Finder (400,000 users, 4.9 stars from about 6K ratings) picks up addresses on the website you are visiting and in Google results, with 50 free searches. Email Verifier (20,000 users) checks the addresses shown on a page or pasted into it. Unlimited Email Tracker (100,000 users, 4.9 stars) lives in Gmail: it reports opens and clicks on the emails you send by hand, schedules sends and reminds you to follow up, without spending credits.
What is Snov.io? From a 2017 email finder to a New York company with Ukrainian roots
Snov.io is a sales prospecting platform run by Snovio Inc, incorporated in the United States with its registered address in New York, and it bills every fee in US dollars. The team calls itself “Proudly Ukrainian”, and the About page names Oleksii Kratko as founder and CEO and counts 150 team members.
The timeline on that page opens in 2017 with the Email Finder and its first paying customer, then adds campaigns (2018), the email tracker (2019), a presence in China (2020), the CRM (2021, the year it passed 1,000,000 users), warm-up (2022) and mailbox rotation (2023); LinkedIn Automation came after. The banner of the same page reads “2012 Founded year”, which the timeline leaves unexplained.
Its customer counts do not line up either: “over 3,000,000 users” and “300,000 companies in 180+ countries” on the home page, “over 185,000 companies” on the About page, “over 175,000 businesses” on the pricing page.
Three subscriptions rather than one
- Sales Suite: finder, verifier, database, campaigns, warm-up and CRM, from the free plan to Ultra; plans differ by credits, recipients, mailboxes warmed up at once and enrichment tokens.
- LinkedIn Automation: one slot per connected LinkedIn account, on its own 30-day billing cycle.
- Enrichment: phone numbers, LinkedIn profiles and company data paid in tokens, sold even without a Sales Suite plan.
Snov.io integrations and API: HubSpot and Pipedrive natively, Salesforce through Zapier, 60 requests a minute
Two CRMs connect natively, HubSpot and Pipedrive, synced in one direction or both, with 24 automation scenarios on the Pipedrive side. Salesforce and Zoho CRM go through Zapier, which Snov.io credits with 5,000+ apps; Make, n8n (through the API) and Clay, where Snov.io acts as a data provider, complete the list, with Calendly and Google Calendar for meetings. The pricing table ticks HubSpot and Pipedrive even on the free plan, while the FAQ of the same page says integrations are not available there.
The REST API (documentation) covers search, enrichment, verification, email and LinkedIn campaigns (the latter with LinkedIn Automation), statistics and webhooks, and charges the same credits as the app. It comes with every paid Sales Suite plan; free accounts can ask for test access. The API page caps it at 60 requests a minute, with access tokens valid for 1 hour and up to 10 emails per finder or verifier call, while a help article says the available APIs and limits “depend on your plan”. An MCP server, for Claude or ChatGPT, is open on every plan, the free one included.
Emelia’s API accepts 100 requests a minute on Start, 300 on Grow and 1,000 on Scale; Start and Grow include one CRM integration, Scale several.
Snov.io reviews: what 1,595 Trustpilot reviewers and G2 users say
Snov.io scores 4.5 to 4.6 on the three large review sites. On Trustpilot, 89% of reviews give five stars and 5% one star; Snov.io invites customers to leave reviews and answers 95% of the negative ones. G2 and Capterra turn away automated readers, so their figures come from search results. Snov.io’s home page claims 4.9 from 6,100 reviews in its structured data, its LinkedIn page “4.7 on Trustpilot” and its home page “4.8 on Trustpilot”: none of them matches the sites themselves.
What users praise
- Ease of use: 9.1/10 on G2, 4.6/5 on Capterra.
- Quick, friendly support, the theme raised most often (9.1/10 on G2, 4.7/5 for customer service on Capterra).
- Email tracking and campaign management in the same tool.
- Help with the DNS setup of new sending domains.
What they complain about
- Contact details that have gone out of date on some records.
- An email editor described as limited.
- Credits used up faster than emails obtained, and no same-day refund, in a recent one-star Trustpilot review.
- No way to schedule a single one-off email, according to a Capterra reviewer.
Snov.io LinkedIn Automation, billed per account on top of the plan
LinkedIn Automation is a separate subscription in which each connected LinkedIn account takes a slot: $69 a month on its own, $59 alongside any paid Sales Suite plan (“extra $10 off each slot”), or $62 a month on yearly billing without a plan, arranged through sales. No yearly price is published for a slot alongside a plan. A slot keeps its own 30-day billing cycle, separate from the plan, is prorated when added, costs at least $5, and is billed even with no account connected; the profile behind it can be swapped up to 3 times a month, and a local proxy comes with it.
A slot automates profile visits, follows, post likes, skill endorsements, invitations, messages and InMails, in LinkedIn-only sequences or in sequences that mix email and LinkedIn, with one inbox for both. With a Sales Suite plan, a campaign can rotate up to 5 LinkedIn accounts; without one, LinkedIn steps use neither credits nor recipients. On pace, Snov.io gives three answers: up to 50 actions a day in its FAQ, 30 a day per type of action in its safety guide, and 20 by default, 40 at most, in a recent article on its extension.
The 7-day free trial covers one slot, once per account. The LinkedIn page promises “No credit card”, yet the help centre describes a monthly subscription charged, prorated, when the trial ends unless renewal is switched off first. Slot purchases are non-refundable.
On Emelia, LinkedIn accounts belong to the plan: 1 on Start, 3 on Grow, 10 on Scale, then $29 a month for each extra account.
Snov.io next to Emelia, from 1 LinkedIn account and 3 mailboxes to 500 mailboxes
Each line is a need both tools can meet, at the cheapest public setup. Snov.io counts recipients, not mailboxes: at 40 emails a day per mailbox over 22 working days, with 3 emails per contact, one mailbox reaches about 294 new people a month. Once LinkedIn is part of the need, Emelia costs less on every line, monthly or yearly. The check marks show which tool is cheaper on each line.

Snov.io’s amounts are in US dollars, the only currency it bills in; Emelia’s follow your currency, at the same figure in euros or dollars. Excluding tax. Mailboxes are assumed to be warmed up already: Starter warms 3 at a time, so warming more of them at once takes Pro S. The LinkedIn accounts are taken to contact the same people as the mailboxes.
Snov.io plans are sized by recipients a month, not by mailboxes
Above the free plan, Sales Suite has 5 paid plans: Starter at $39 a month, Pro S at $99 a month, Pro M at $189 a month, Pro L at $369 a month and Ultra at $738 a month. What changes from one plan to the next is the number of credits, of recipients (people contacted for the first time in each 30-day period, follow-ups to them included), of mailboxes warmed up at once and of enrichment tokens; campaigns and follow-ups are unlimited on paid plans, sending mailboxes too (up to 1,000 per team in the terms), and so are team seats according to the pricing page (a help article leaves teamwork out of Starter). Quarterly billing takes 5% off, yearly billing 25%.
Every tier, the limits of the free plan, slot prices, tokens, refunds and a calculator are on the Snov.io pricing page.
Which tool replaces which part of Snov.io
Snov.io bundles several jobs and its alternatives rarely cover all of them, so the right one depends on the part you use. Each is detailed, with prices, on the Snov.io alternatives page.
- Finding emails only: Hunter works much like Snov.io’s finder, with a free plan and verification at 0.5 credit; Icypeas sells credits that never expire; Kaspr reveals emails and mobile numbers on LinkedIn profiles.
- A database to build lists: Apollo, with 240M contacts claimed and sequences included, billed per licence.
- Sending volume: Instantly, Smartlead, Saleshandy and Reply.io, each counting emails a month and contacts loaded or active in its own way.
- LinkedIn: Emelia includes the accounts in its plans; Waalaxy, HeyReach and Dripify are built around LinkedIn first.
Questions about Snov.io
Yes. Snovio Inc is the company and Snov.io the product; “Snovio” is simply how many people type the name. Same site, same plans, same prices.
The app is at app.snov.io/login, behind the “Log in” link at the top of snov.io. Signing up from the same page opens the free plan, with no credit card.
Snov.io pays affiliates 40% of the plans and 20% of the add-ons bought by the customers they bring. Its affiliate page describes the commission both as lasting 1 year and as paid “for as long as they pay”, so how long it runs is not clear.
Yes, with the LI Prospect Finder extension: it saves people from LinkedIn and Sales Navigator searches, profiles, company pages and events, finds their emails at 1 credit each, or saves them without email for free. Inside the app, LinkedIn Search does the same from Starter upwards, though its advanced options (filters, search URLs) need a LinkedIn Automation slot. Snov.io presents it as an email finder for LinkedIn rather than a scraper, and suggests staying around 1,000 prospects a day on Sales Navigator.
