Dropcontact pricing 2025 vs 2026: what changed in the price list
Searches for “Dropcontact pricing 2025” lead to a list that no longer exists. The entry price, €29 a month, is the one of the oldest list we read (February 2024), but what it buys has changed twice.
Until around July 2024: a credit per request
€29 a month bought 1,000 credits, and a credit was spent on every request, whether an email came back or not. The footer of the site offered 100 free credits.
From around July 2024: one plan, a credit per email found
The same €29 now bought 500 credits, each spent only on an email found. There was a single file and API plan, unused credits could carry over on any active subscription, a yearly plan cost 10 months for twelve, and the CRM plan had a public price grid.
By March 2026: Starter and Growth
Starter kept the prices of the single plan, tier for tier, without 3 of its volumes (16,500, 300,000 and 1,200,000 credits). The carry-over of credits, LinkedIn enrichment and company data moved to Growth, which costs 21% to 63% more at the same volume. The CRM plan went to quote only, and the yearly price is now shown per month with a “-20%” label.
October 2026: a lower list shown to part of the visitors
When we checked on October 19, 2026, an A/B testing tool (Optibase) sent part of the visitors of the pricing page to a second version, kept out of search engines, with lower prices: Starter from €19 for 500 credits to €1,399 for 150,000, Growth from €29 to €1,849; at 4,000 credits, €59 instead of €79. The indexed page, its structured data and the app screens shown in the help centre keep the list described here, which the tables of this page use.
Dropcontact free credits and free trial: 50 credits, and what they cover
There is no free plan and no time-limited trial on the file and API offer: a new account gets 50 credits, once, without a credit card.
Those 50 credits behave like paid ones: an email found takes one, a search that finds nothing gives it back, and checking an address you already have takes one too. The API key that comes with the free account draws on them too. The page about the Google Sheets add-on describes another allowance, 50 free lines and 25 free searches a month, which the pricing page and the help centre do not mention.
Beyond that, Dropcontact sells no one-off pack: for a single file, its help centre suggests subscribing to any plan and cancelling right after. The CRM plan has a trial of its own, without a card, limited to contacts whose first name starts with A, B, C or D, lasting 14 days according to the help centre and 7 according to the terms.
Emelia gives 20 credits at sign-up with a work email, plus a 7-day trial without a card; after that, a pack of 1,000 credits costs $19 a month and needs no plan.
Dropcontact API pricing: API and MCP requests draw on the same credits
Dropcontact does not price its API separately. Every plan, Starter included, gives access to the API and the MCP server, and each call spends the credits of your subscription.
- Per contact: 1 credit when an email is found through the API, 1 for an address sent for verification alone, nothing when no email is found, according to the help centre and the API documentation; the French terms of service count a unit per search instead.
- Free calls: reading your credit balance costs nothing.
- One catch: forcing the results of a batch before it has finished can lose the refund of the contacts still being processed.
- Capacity: 250 contacts per request and 60 requests a second, on every plan.
- Fields: industry and headcount come back only on the trial or Growth.
- Testing the key: the free account’s 50 credits work through the API too; credits of the CRM plan are a separate contract and stay out of it.
Dropcontact pricing by credits: every tier from 500 to 150,000 emails a month
Both plans share the same 10 volumes; you choose the volume in a menu on each card, set by default to 4,000 credits (€79 on Starter, €120 on Growth). Prices exclude VAT.

Unused credits: lost on Starter, carried over on Growth
This is the line that separates the two plans most, and Dropcontact’s own pages do not tell the same story.
On Starter, the quota resets at each renewal, monthly or yearly: what you have not used is gone. On Growth, the help centre says unused credits roll over from month to month as long as the subscription stays active, and it suggests moving down to a small Growth tier rather than cancelling, to keep them. When the subscription ends, on either plan, the balance resets to zero.
Two other sources blur the rule. A question in the pricing page FAQ presents the carry-over as an option with a single condition, an active paid subscription, without naming a plan; the French terms of service go the other way and say unused units cannot be used beyond their period, with no compensation. On yearly billing, the price list counts its volumes per year (6,000 credits for 500 a month), without saying whether they arrive at once or month by month.
Emelia’s pack credits stay valid 12 months after purchase, cancelled or not.
Next to Emelia’s credit packs, email for email
Same unit on both sides (1 credit per email found, none when nothing is found), Dropcontact’s prices as listed on its indexed pricing page, monthly billing, and Emelia’s credit subscription without any plan, since finding emails does not need one. Each Dropcontact cell gives the smallest Starter tier that covers the volume, then Growth at the same tier.

Outside the euro zone, Emelia shows your currency and Dropcontact stays in euros, its only currency: no gap is worked out between the two. Above 100,000 emails a month, Emelia has no larger pack, and Dropcontact quotes beyond 150,000. Verification costs 1 credit an address at Dropcontact and 0.25 at Emelia.
Your own volume: a Starter tier or an Emelia pack
Set the emails you look for and the lists you verify each month. Dropcontact’s side takes the cheapest tier that covers them; Emelia’s, the smallest credit pack, with no plan on top.
Dropcontact bills in euros only: its price is shown in euros, without conversion, so no difference is calculated.
How each tool charges
Dropcontact sells monthly tiers of credits in euros: Starter from €29 for 500 up to €2,245 for 150,000, Growth at 21% to 63% more for the same tier. An email found takes 1 credit, an address checked 1. On Starter, credits left at the end of the month are lost.
Emelia charges 1 credit per email found, nothing when none is found, and 0.25 credit per verified address. Its credits are sold on their own, as a subscription with no sending plan: from $19 a month for 1,000 credits, valid for 12 months. To send your campaigns as well, Start ($37) adds 3 mailboxes and 1 LinkedIn account.
Prices before VAT, billed monthly on both sides, since Emelia’s packs are sold by the month. Neither Dropcontact’s 50 sign-up credits nor Emelia’s 20 are counted.
The yearly “-20%” and what it really saves
Switch the cards to yearly and each price drops, shown per month and labelled “-20%”. Tier by tier, the saving is 16.5% to 17.2%: €24 instead of €29 for 500 credits, €66 instead of €79 for 4,000. The amount charged for the year is not displayed; twelve times that per-month yearly price gives €288 for the smallest Starter tier.
That saving is the one of the indexed list; the list being tested on part of the visitors has its own prices. Before the two-plan list, a year cost 10 months for twelve. Either way, the terms say a subscription period that has started is due in full, so a yearly plan is paid for the whole year, even if you stop using it. Emelia sells its credit packs by the month only, so this page compares monthly prices.
CRM plan, VAT and cancelling
Not a public one any more. The HubSpot and Pipedrive plan is quoted through a form, billed yearly with set-up fees, and commits you for 12 months, renewed automatically; if your CRM outgrows the contacts covered, it moves to the next level. The old grid, online until January 2026, priced 1,000 contacts at €56 of set-up and €24 a month. Credits from the file plans do not work in the CRM.
Yes. Dropcontact’s terms say prices are in euros and exclude taxes, unless stated otherwise; there is no dollar list. Payment is by card, through Stripe, where the invoices are kept. Emelia’s prices on this page exclude VAT as well.
Yes, from the billing settings of the app. The cancellation takes effect at the next renewal date and the credits remain usable until then, after which the balance goes to zero. Nothing is refunded for a period that has started. Moving up a tier applies at once; moving down waits for the renewal.
