ZoomInfo vs Cognism data: European mobiles against US breadth
Both vendors publish coverage figures that no one can check from outside, and they do not measure the same things: ZoomInfo gives counts by country, Cognism gives coverage rates and a phone-checking process. Read the rows as each vendor’s claims.

ZoomInfo itself writes that it is a weaker fit for “teams that sell only into a single non-North-American market and should test regional coverage first”. Cognism publishes no country-by-country counts, and no figure for companies.

ZoomInfo vs Cognism pricing: two quotes, two contracts
Neither company prints a price for its platform, so the comparison is about how each one bills and what you sign.
Cognism: seats and credits, renewed for at least a year
Two plans, Standard and Pro, each with 5 seats included; one credit reveals one contact, emails and mobiles together, once for the whole account, and again only if the person changes jobs. Cognism’s general terms of October 2026 renew a subscription for its initial length or 1 year, whichever is longer, unless you give 60 days’ notice; fees are non-refundable and a renewal can cost up to 10% more.
ZoomInfo: licences, credits and multi-year terms
ZoomInfo’s pricing FAQ says it uses a seat-based model, priced on features, licences and credits. Contracts run 1 to 3 years (53% of contract value is multi-year) and its licence terms make them non-cancellable; renewal is left to the order form, while the terms in force until March 2025 renewed it automatically at 10% more. One credit exports one record; monthly credits reset on day 1 and bulk credits are lost when the contract ends.
Free options
Cognism has no free plan and no self-serve trial, only a free sample of 25 leads and pilots set up through an order form. ZoomInfo has ZoomInfo Lite for non-customers, a trial of usually 7 days, and GTM.AI, which gives 1,000 data credits once and then sells them from $0.45 down to $0.25 a record, without mobile numbers. Figures quoted elsewhere for either platform are third-party estimates that neither vendor confirms.
What buyers say about Cognism and ZoomInfo on G2, Capterra and Trustpilot
Reddit threads comparing the two are easy to find; the figures below come from review sites rather than forums, as shown on October 19, 2026 for Cognism and October 16, 2026 for ZoomInfo. G2 and Capterra scores are those shown in search results.

One-star reviews make up 35% of Cognism’s Trustpilot page and 65% of ZoomInfo’s; on Cognism’s, most come from people who found their own number in the database rather than from customers, and ZoomInfo’s include similar complaints. ZoomInfo’s extension dropped after its side-panel redesign; Cognism’s main listing has only 12 ratings.
Neither one sends the emails: where Emelia comes in
Cognism stops at the contact: it exports to your CRM, a CSV file, Outreach or Salesloft. ZoomInfo sells sequences as the Engage add-on, one email provider per user, and its own Engage page now points to its Salesloft partnership; its AI drafts in GTM Workspace open in Gmail one message at a time. LinkedIn outreach is automated by neither.
Emelia does the finding and the sending. Emails and phone numbers are found with credits, 1,000 for $19 a month, 1 per email and 50 per number searched across several providers, nothing charged when nothing is found, credits valid for a year even after you cancel; contacts exported from either database can be imported as they are. The Start plan then runs email and LinkedIn steps in one sequence from $37 a month, with 3 mailboxes and 1 LinkedIn account, and exports Sales Navigator searches with no cap on the number of exports. You can test it for 7 days without a card, with 20 credits offered for signing up with a work email.
Cognism or ZoomInfo: a European focus or a larger American base, both under contract
The two differ first in where their data is built: Cognism around European mobiles it checks by phone, with do-not-call numbers hidden in 16 countries; ZoomInfo around a larger base whose counts are highest in the United States, with intent data on 4,500+ topics and AI products on top.
They differ less in how they are bought: both quote after a sales call and sign contracts rather than monthly plans, Cognism’s renewing for at least 1 year with 5 seats per plan, ZoomInfo’s running 1 to 3 years. ZoomInfo alone has a free tier and a self-serve way to buy its data, through GTM.AI.
Cognism vs ZoomInfo: questions buyers ask
No one can say from their websites: neither publishes a price for its platform. Cognism quotes plans of 5 seats; ZoomInfo quotes seats and credits over 1 to 3 years. Neither publishes a price for its prospecting platform; ZoomInfo sells GTM.AI data credits self-serve, without mobile numbers.
Cognism makes Europe its focus and checks mobile numbers by phone; ZoomInfo’s own map shows 66M+ European contacts, and ZoomInfo writes that it is a weaker fit for teams selling only into one market outside North America. Both offer a test: a 25-lead sample from Cognism, a trial from ZoomInfo.
No. Cognism Limited is an independent company based in London, which owns Kaspr; ZoomInfo Technologies Inc. is listed on the Nasdaq under the ticker GTM and based in Vancouver, Washington.
Yes: export the contacts to a CSV file and import them into an Emelia campaign, or let Emelia find the emails of a Sales Navigator search itself. Emelia then sends the email and LinkedIn steps that neither database sends.
