Why buy your mailboxes in Emelia

◔ This section is coming very soon

Buying mailboxes in Emelia is being tested and will open to everyone shortly. The flow described here is the planned one: a few details may still change before launch.

Setting up a sending domain yourself takes several steps: buy the domain, subscribe to Google Workspace, create each mailbox, then connect it to Emelia. With the built-in purchase, you pick your domains and addresses in Emelia, you pay, and the rest happens without you: the domain is registered, the Google Workspace mailboxes are created, then connected to your account automatically.

Google Workspace is the host we recommend first for outreach. And the price is lower than subscribing to Google directly: $5 per mailbox per month, while Google lists its Business Starter plan at $7 per user per month on an annual plan, or $8.40 on the flexible plan (public pricing checked in October 2026, excluding promotions).

Where the button will be

In the left-hand menu, open Accounts. The Buy mailboxes button sits at the top of the Email Accounts block, to the left of the search field and the Connect mailbox button.

The planned flow, step by step

A panel opens on the right-hand side of the screen. Everything happens in one place:

  • The sender. The first and last name of the person who will sign the emails, prefilled from your profile. Emelia uses them to suggest named addresses: firstname@, firstname.lastname@, f.lastname@. You can add up to five senders, plus an optional profile photo that recipients will see in Gmail.
  • The domain search. Enter your company's main domain. Emelia looks for very similar domains that are available: the same name with another extension, or a slight variant (get, try, hq...). Each result shows its price for one year.
  • The cart. For each domain you add, three mailboxes are suggested by default, up to five. Every address can be edited by hand.
  • Warmup. A checkbox, ticked by default, turns on Emelia's warmup for the new mailboxes.
  • The summary. Due today: the domain for one year and the first month of the mailboxes. Then, every month: $5 per mailbox. The summary also shows how many mailboxes your plan still allows.
  • Setup. After payment, allow several tens of minutes. You can leave the page: a banner tracks progress in Accounts, and the mailboxes show up in the list as soon as they are ready.

Good to know before buying

  • Purchased mailboxes count towards your plan's mailbox limit: 3 on Start, 50 on Grow.
  • The domain name renews every year, automatically if you leave the option on.
  • A purchased mailbox is managed from its domain, with Manage domain & mailboxes: that is where you add mailboxes (the prorated amount until the next billing date is charged right away) or delete one, with no prorated refund.
  • Cancelling a domain: its mailboxes stay active until the end of the paid period, then are permanently deleted.
  • If an order cannot go through, for example a domain that cannot be registered, you are refunded.
⚠︎ A purchased mailbox still needs warming up

A domain and an address created the same day have no reputation at all. Let warmup run for 2 to 3 weeks before the first send, then keep volumes sensible: 25 new contacts and 75 emails per day per mailbox while warmup is on. See warmup.

Until it opens

Nothing stops you from starting today: buy your domains from a registrar, create your mailboxes on Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, and connect them to Emelia. Mailboxes you buy in Emelia later will simply be added to the others.

Frequently asked questions

The questions we get asked on this topic, answered briefly.

When will I be able to buy mailboxes in Emelia?

Very soon. The feature is being tested, and the button will appear for everyone on the Accounts page when it opens.

How much does a mailbox bought in Emelia cost?

$5 per mailbox per month, excluding tax, plus the domain name, paid for one year. Its price is shown in the search results, before you buy anything.

Are these real Google Workspace mailboxes?

Yes. They are Google Workspace mailboxes, linked to Emelia the same way as a Google Workspace mailbox you would connect yourself.

Do the mailboxes come already warmed up?

No, they are new. Leave the warmup box ticked when you buy, and allow 2 to 3 weeks before launching a campaign.

Can I buy mailboxes on a domain I already own?

No, the planned flow buys a new domain along with its mailboxes. For a domain you already have, create the mailboxes at your host, then connect them to Emelia.

What about Microsoft 365 mailboxes?

The built-in purchase only offers Google Workspace. For Microsoft 365, create the mailboxes at Microsoft, then connect them.
