Prospeo and Emelia in 30 seconds
- Emails
- 10,000 emails a month cost $189 at Prospeo (Growth plus a 5,000-credit add-on) and $99 at Emelia, in one 10,000-credit pack. At 1,000, 5,000, 10,000, 50,000 and 100,000 emails, Emelia’s packs cost less than Prospeo’s plans, whatever the exchange rate.
- Credits
- Prospeo’s credits reset at every renewal according to its pricing page, and add-on credits never roll over. Emelia’s stay valid 12 months after purchase, even after you cancel.
- Team and sending
- Every Prospeo user pays a plan, with named seats, and Prospeo sends nothing: contacts go to a sending tool. One Emelia pack serves the whole team, and Start ($37 a month) adds sending from 3 mailboxes and 1 LinkedIn account.

The Prospeo Chrome extension on LinkedIn, and the end of Sales Navigator export
“Prospeo Contact Finder – Email & Phone Number Finder” is rated 4.9 from 469 ratings on the Chrome Web Store, with 10,000 users; its version 3.0.1 dates from July 17, 2026. It runs in Chrome, Brave, Edge and Opera, and opening the panel costs nothing until you reveal a result.
What the side panel does
Prospeo’s help centre lists three places for it: a profile on a social network, a company website, and Gmail or Outlook. On a profile, the panel shows the person’s name, job and company, with “Reveal email” at 1 credit and “Reveal mobile” at 10 credits, plus buttons to add the contact to a list or push it to a connected tool. An “All Employees” tab lists the company’s staff with filters by job, seniority and department.
Prospeo’s database, not the page you are on
Its manifest keeps it from injecting anything into linkedin.com pages: on a LinkedIn profile, the side panel looks the person up in Prospeo’s own data. Its troubleshooting article says so plainly: “it pulls from Prospeo's own database, not from the profile you're browsing”, so details can differ from the page, and a missing profile means a missing result. For many profiles at once, Prospeo’s advice is a CSV of profile URLs run through its file enrichment. The FAQ of its extension page still promises results “directly from social or professional profiles and search results”.
Sales Navigator lists: exported until mid-2025
Prospeo’s pricing page still listed a Sales Navigator export at 1 credit per lead on June 18, 2025; by July 13, 2025, the line was gone, and the page that described the export now opens Prospeo’s home page.
Emelia keeps that job: in a Sales Navigator search, its extension’s “Export with Emelia” button sends the search to Emelia, which extracts the leads; export your Sales Navigator searches with no limit on the number of exports, from $37 a month before tax (how the export works). On a LinkedIn profile, Emelia’s extension finds the person’s email and phone number, charged in credits only when found, then adds them to a campaign.
Email finder and mobile finder: 1 credit or 10 credits a result
Prospeo charges per result found. Give it a name and a company, a profile URL, a domain or a file, and it debits credits only when a verified email or mobile comes back: “You are only charged when a valid result is returned”.
- Email: 1 credit per verified address. A domain search costs the same for each valid email it returns.
- Mobile: 10 credits, the email included, or 9 when the email was already revealed.
- Company record: 1 credit, again only when the company is found.
- Repeats are free: the same person enriched again within 90 days costs nothing, for the whole team; browsing, filtering and saving searches never cost a credit.
- Files: CSV enrichment of up to 20,000 rows (50 MB) from Starter; the Free plan has none.
- No stand-alone verifier: the old “Email Verifier” (0.5 credit a check) left the menu with the new site. Emelia verifies an imported list at 0.25 credit an address, finds an email for 1 credit and a number for 50 through a waterfall of providers, refunded when nothing is found.
Calling Prospeo from code: API and MCP
The REST API (prospeo.io/api-docs) covers person and company enrichment, bulk enrichment of 50 records per call, and person and company search, at the same credit costs as the app.
- Enrichment limits per plan (per second, minute and day): Starter 5 / 300 / 2,000, Growth 5 / 300 / 5,000, Pro 30 / 1,800 / 500,000; above them, the API answers with an error.
- On the Free plan: the plan table on the pricing page reads “No access”, while the API documentation announces “Free API access for all users”.
- Search: 1 credit per page of 25 results, without contact details; revealing them is charged as above.
- MCP server: Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can query Prospeo through mcp.prospeo.io, included in every plan and paid with the same credits.
- Native connectors: HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho, Close and monday.com from Growth, one CRM at a time; sending tools such as Smartlead, Instantly and lemlist from Starter; Clay, Zapier, Make and n8n from the Free plan per the help centre, from Starter per the plan table.
- Emelia’s API is open on every plan, at 100 to 1,000 requests a minute depending on the plan, and the emails it finds can go straight into a campaign.
Is Prospeo legit? Its scores on G2, Capterra and Trustpilot
Prospeo is published by Defastra Tech Inc., a company based in Toronto, Canada, founded in 2023. Scores read in October 2026: the G2 and Capterra figures come from their search listings and G2’s summary page, Trustpilot’s and the Chrome Web Store’s from their own pages. Prospeo has claimed its Trustpilot page, and its site shows 4.8 under a G2 logo, against 4.6 on G2 itself.

From email finder to a 280-million-profile search
What Prospeo is today dates from January 2026: a new site, prices per user, and a searchable database, People & Company Search, next to the email and mobile finder.
- The database: filters on job and company, plus technology, funding or hiring from Starter (28 filters on Free, up to 41 on Pro), a search written in plain words, lookalike search, buying-intent topics and, from Growth, job-change tracking. Browsing is free; revealing or exporting a contact is what costs credits.
- Its size, as Prospeo states it: 280 million profiles on the home page, more than 300 million on its data page, more than 200 million contacts in the API introduction, across more than 30 million companies. The most active contacts are refreshed every 7 days, the rest about every 30.
- What it does not do: send emails or automate LinkedIn. Contacts leave for a CRM or a sending tool (Smartlead, Instantly, lemlist, Reply.io…), each paid separately.
- The company: Defastra Tech Inc., trading as Prospeo, claims 40,000 users and more than 15,000 companies; its founders, headcount and funding are not given on its own pages.
Credits against credits: Prospeo or Emelia for 1,000 and 5,000 emails
The same monthly need on both sides, counted in data found. Prospeo: the lowest monthly cost for one user, a plan plus at most one add-on tier, since only one can be active. Emelia: its credit subscription alone, the smallest pack that covers the need, with no plan and no per-user price.

Prospeo bills in US dollars only, before tax; Emelia’s prices exclude tax and follow your currency. In euros, no difference is worked out and a row names a winner only if it holds at any exchange rate. Units: Prospeo counts 1 credit per email and 10 per mobile, email included; Emelia 1 per email and 50 per number. Yearly plans, which deliver the year’s credits upfront, are left out: monthly against monthly.
Four plans, priced per user
Prospeo has a Free plan with 100 credits a month, then Starter at $49 (2,000 credits), Growth at $99 (5,000) and Pro at $249 (15,000), per user and per month, with credit add-ons on top of a paid plan. The Prospeo pricing page reads every tier, the add-ons, the yearly terms and what happens to unused credits, with a calculator against Emelia’s packs.

Prospeo questions: login, Sales Navigator, CRMs, alternatives
The sign-in page is prospeo.io/login, which also offers “Log in with Google” for the email the account was opened with; the app itself then runs on app.prospeo.io, where lists, CSV enrichment and billing live. On Emelia, a work email at sign-up comes with 20 credits and a 7-day trial.
Not any more: the export billed at 1 credit per lead left its pricing page between June 18, 2025 and July 13, 2025, and the extension now reads Prospeo’s database. Emelia exports your Sales Navigator searches, with no limit on the number of exports, from $37 a month before tax.
HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho, Close and monday.com, natively, from the Growth plan, with automatic CRM enrichment and duplicate checks. Sending tools and Google Sheets start with Starter; for Clay, Zapier, Make and n8n, the help centre says every plan, the plan table says Starter. Every Emelia plan includes a CRM integration, and Scale connects several.
Emelia comes first, then Apollo, the pair people search most, and tools for direct dials, Sales Navigator extraction or pay-per-result enrichment. The Prospeo alternatives page prices each one on the same monthly need.
