RocketReach and Emelia in 30 seconds
- Emails
- 1,000 emails a month cost $209 at RocketReach (Ultimate, its largest monthly plan, up to 1,000 lookups) and $19 at Emelia, in the smallest pack.
- Team
- RocketReach sells a licence per person and does not pool lookups: 4 people who each need 250 emails pay 4 Pro licences, $452 in all. One Emelia pack serves the whole team: 1,000 emails, $19.
- Credits and sending
- For unused lookups, RocketReach’s help centre speaks of 12 months of carry-over while subscribed, its agreement of expiry at the end of the term, and everything is lost once you cancel; Emelia’s credits stay valid 12 months, even after you cancel. RocketReach sends from one Gmail or Outlook mailbox per user, to contacts found in RocketReach only; Emelia’s Start ($37 a month) sends from 3 mailboxes to any list.

What RocketReach is used for, and who uses it
RocketReach is a people and company search engine sold by RocketReach, LLC, a company founded in 2015. You filter its database (700 million profiles and 60 million companies, per RocketReach), and the results cost nothing to browse. Credits only come in when you want a contact’s details: one lookup reveals every verified email RocketReach holds for that person, work and personal, and on the Pro and Ultimate plans their phone numbers too.
Its own help centre lists the people it is built for: salespeople, marketers, recruiters and researchers. The flow is the same for all of them: build a search, look up the profiles you want, then export them to a CSV file or a CRM, or write to them from RocketReach itself (Messages and Sequences, sent from one Gmail or Outlook mailbox per user).
Around that core sit a Chrome extension that shows the same records on LinkedIn profiles and company websites, Autopilot (saved searches that keep adding matching contacts, up to 10,000 contacts each), Upload List (enrich a CSV or a list of LinkedIn profile URLs), an API and an MCP server for AI assistants. RocketReach says it has 26 million users on its homepage and 30 million on its pricing page; neither figure can be checked.
RocketReach search: filters, Signals and a claimed 700 million profiles
Searching is free on every plan, the free account included: “Searching does not use credits. Only retrieving contact data does,” says the help centre.
Filters and Signals
RocketReach advertises “100+ filters” on its Email Finder page and “50+” on its pricing page, plus a search box that takes a plain-language request (“AI Search”). The Signals filters add timing: job postings, job changes, intent and company news. Through the API, results come 100 to a page, and one query returns at most 10,000 profiles.
Company records
Every account can search companies and see firmographic data. Technologies, news and org charts start on Pro; buying-intent data and US healthcare (NPI) data are kept for Ultimate.
How big the database is, and where the data comes from
These are RocketReach’s own figures: 700 million profiles, 60 million companies, more than 1 billion email addresses and 135 million phone numbers (50 million of them mobiles), across 160 countries. Its Chrome Web Store listing says 35 million companies instead of 60, and the refresh rate also changes from page to page: “over 85 million profiles refreshed every month” in the help centre, “~170M updates per month” on its comparison pages.
Asked where the data comes from, RocketReach names licensed datasets, publicly available information, human-verified data and a data-sharing cooperative. It publishes no independent measure of accuracy: the fill rates it quotes (“85% or better” for emails, “60% or better” for direct numbers) are its own.
Building on RocketReach: the API on every paid plan, and MCP
The pricing page lists “MCP & API access” on Essentials, Pro and Ultimate, so you do not need a custom contract to call the API. It is a v2 API with webhooks for lookups that finish later; person and company searches are free, and a lookup through the API is counted like any export. The documentation lives at docs.rocketreach.co, with a global limit of 10 requests per second.
Each plan then has its own published ceilings for person lookups: 500 a day and 5,000 a month on Essentials, 1,500 a day and 20,000 a month on Pro, 3,000 a day and 50,000 a month on Ultimate (rate-limit page updated on September 14, 2026). Larger API deals use “Universal Credits”: 2 credits for a work email, 3 for a personal one, 6 for a phone number, at a price per credit RocketReach does not publish.
The MCP server, launched in July 2026, connects RocketReach to ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Windsurf and Microsoft Copilot, and is open to free and paid accounts. Each record an assistant reads through it costs 1 credit, only when verified data comes back: a lookup on monthly plans and the free account, an export on yearly “unlimited” plans. For comparison, Emelia’s API is also on every plan, from 100 requests a minute on Start.
The Chrome extension: LinkedIn profiles, company websites, side panel
The free extension (version 4.0.15, updated on August 11, 2026) has 300,000 users and a 3.3 rating from 460 ratings on the Chrome Web Store. It runs on Chrome, Edge and Brave, not Safari, and since July 2026 it opens in Chrome’s side panel.
On a LinkedIn profile, including Sales Navigator and Recruiter profile pages, on a LinkedIn company page (People tab) and, with “RocketReach Everywhere”, on most company websites, it lists the matching RocketReach records: “+Add” spends a lookup, and the contact can be pushed to a connected CRM or tagged.
Bulk actions on LinkedIn are gone. RocketReach’s help article, updated on August 12, 2026, says the extension will not load the LinkedIn feed, people or company search results, Recruiter searches, or Sales Navigator lead lists and search results. Until its version of December 9, 2024, the same article offered “+Add All” on those pages; by June 16, 2025 it no longer mentioned them, without giving a reason. Upload List also refuses Sales Navigator and Recruiter links.
Emelia has a Chrome extension too: on a LinkedIn profile, it finds the person’s email and phone number (credits are used only when they are found) and adds them to an Emelia campaign (see the extension). In a Sales Navigator search, its “Export with Emelia” button sends the search to Emelia, which extracts the leads: you can export your Sales Navigator searches, with no limit on the number of exports, from $37 excl. VAT a month.
Email lookup: one credit per contact with a verified address
A lookup is counted per person, not per email. RocketReach only charges it when it finds at least one verified email (on Essentials) or one verified email or phone number (on the “+ Phone” plans): “If no verified email address or phone number is found, no credit is used.” A profile you have already looked up stays unlocked for good, updates included, and since July 2026 a record that only has an office line no longer uses a credit.
The same credit covers everything on the record, so a phone number costs nothing extra on Pro and Ultimate. It is not guaranteed, though: RocketReach warns that a lookup can return “only a verified email address or only a verified phone number”. Emails come with a grade, from A (about 98% deliverable, per RocketReach) down to F (invalid).
To find emails for people you already have, Upload List takes a CSV or a list of LinkedIn URLs; RocketReach claims a 98% match rate from a LinkedIn URL and 90% from a name and company. Checking addresses that come from elsewhere is a separate product, RocketReach Verify, with its own credits; they never expire, and their price could not be read, its purchase page being behind RocketReach’s security check.
Emelia counts in credits rather than people: 1 credit per email found and verified, 50 per phone number found through its waterfall of providers, and nothing when nothing is found. Its verifier, for lists you bring, costs 0.25 credit an address.
Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach: integrations on Pro and Ultimate
Native integrations start on Pro: Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Salesloft and Bullhorn, plus Zapier. “Essentials plans do not include access to native integrations,” the help centre says. On Ultimate, the Salesforce sync gets custom field mapping, and single sign-on is added (Okta, Microsoft Entra ID and OneLogin, or a custom SAML connection).
Every integration is a one-way push (“All integrations are one-way syncs”): RocketReach sends contacts to your CRM, nothing comes back. On plans that count exports, each contact sent uses an export credit. Pipedrive is not among the native integrations.
Emelia includes a CRM integration in every plan: one CRM on Start and Grow, several on Scale.
RocketReach LLC: Bellevue, Washington, since 2015
RocketReach, LLC says it runs its services from offices in Washington State; its terms give an address in Bellevue and another in Brooklyn, New York, the one also shown on its Chrome Web Store listing. The company was founded in 2015 by Andrew Tso and Amit Shanbhag, two software engineers, and it says they bootstrapped it. Scott Kim is its CEO, and RocketReach states that its founding team holds 13 patents in large-scale data mining.
Its marketing claims 95% of the S&P 500 as customers, customers in more than 100 countries and logos such as Google, Morgan Stanley, Intel and Adobe. Headcount, revenue and funding are not published.

1,000 emails a month: RocketReach lookups or Emelia credits
Both sides start from the same need: emails found each month, for one person, paid monthly. On Emelia’s side that is its credits subscription on its own, with no sending plan; on RocketReach’s, the cheapest monthly plan whose lookups cover the volume.

RocketReach bills in US dollars only: its prices stay in dollars and Emelia’s follow your currency, so a line only shows a winner when it holds at any exchange rate. Units differ: a lookup is one person, every email and number included; an Emelia credit is one email, and a number takes 50. For phone numbers alone, above 200 a month a Pro or Ultimate plan costs less than the Emelia pack that covers them, as long as each lookup returns a number; the pricing page lays out each volume. Yearly plans (unlimited lookups in the app, exports counted) have no Emelia equivalent, since its packs are monthly.
Essentials, Pro and Ultimate in brief
Billed monthly, one user: Essentials at $69 (100 lookups, emails only), Pro at $119 (250 lookups, emails and numbers) and Ultimate at $209 (1,000 lookups). Paid yearly, the same plans cost $399, $899 and $1,699 and switch to unlimited lookups with a yearly export allowance. Every extra user pays their own licence.
The free account, the team prices, the custom plans from $6,000 a year and a calculator for your own volume are on the RocketReach pricing page.
Sign-in, notifications and other RocketReach questions
The login page is https://rocketreach.co/login, and a free account is created at https://rocketreach.co/signup. RocketReach may ask you to confirm both your email address and your phone number when the account is new.
Its help centre describes no message sent to a person whose profile is looked up. What it does say concerns your own account: the details you register with are kept confidential and are never displayed in search results.
There is a free account without a card, with a handful of lookups for emails only (RocketReach’s pages disagree on how many) and no phone numbers. Paid plans start at $69 a month per user. Every plan is laid out on the pricing page.
It is a real, established company: RocketReach, LLC, founded in 2015, rated 4.4 on G2. Customer opinions are far more divided on Trustpilot, mostly about billing; we go through them on the RocketReach reviews page.
Our RocketReach alternatives page presents each one with its price on the same need, Emelia first. Three head-to-head comparisons go further: RocketReach vs ZoomInfo, RocketReach vs Apollo and RocketReach vs Lusha.
