Sequences: one Gmail inbox, or Apollo’s dialer and multi-step cadences
RocketReach added outreach in steps: Messages (one email or a batch), Follow Ups (up to 2 reminders) and, since February 2026, Sequences that stop on a reply or a bounce. Everything goes out from one Gmail or Outlook mailbox per user, 50 emails a day by default and 500 at most, and only to addresses found in RocketReach.
Apollo’s sequences go further: email steps, calls through its dialer (from Basic), tasks, A/B tests from Professional, 2 sequences per team even on the free plan. Basic connects 1 mailbox per seat with up to 250 emails a day. Apollo’s LinkedIn steps are manual tasks and RocketReach has none: neither sends invitations or messages for you.
Emelia runs email and LinkedIn in the same automated sequence, from 3 mailboxes and 1 LinkedIn account on Start ($37 excl. VAT a month) up to unlimited mailboxes and 10 accounts on Scale, with warm-up included.
Credits: lookups per user against Apollo’s pooled credits
RocketReach gives each licence its own lookups, never shared. Apollo puts the credits of every seat in one pot for the team (2,500 per seat a month on Basic), and a phone number costs 8 of them. Emelia sells credits with no seat at all.

Unused credits
RocketReach and Apollo bill in US dollars; Emelia’s prices follow your currency, so a winner is shown only where it holds at any exchange rate. A RocketReach lookup covers a person’s emails and numbers (on Pro and Ultimate), an Apollo credit one email (a number takes 8), an Emelia credit one email (50 for a number). Above the credits included, Apollo sells more from $0.025 down to $0.015 a credit.
Free plans side by side
- RocketReach Free: no card, the whole database to search, a few email lookups (its pages give several numbers), no phone numbers, 5 emails a day.
- Apollo Free: 75 credits a month, 1 mailbox, 250 emails a day and 2 sequences; after 100 days, Apollo keeps a single seat on it.
- Emelia: 7 days of free trial without a card, all features, and 20 credits for an account opened with a work email.
Apollo’s and RocketReach’s extensions on a LinkedIn profile
On a LinkedIn profile, both extensions show the person’s record and let you reveal it. RocketReach’s also reads company websites and opens in Chrome’s side panel, on Chrome, Edge and Brave; its help centre says it no longer loads LinkedIn searches or Sales Navigator lists. Apollo’s runs on Chrome and Microsoft Edge, in LinkedIn, Gmail, Google Calendar, Salesforce and HubSpot and, per Apollo’s help centre, on company websites, without bulk export from Sales Navigator.
The stores rate them differently: 3.3 from 460 ratings and 300,000 users for RocketReach, 4.7 from 2,172 ratings and 1,000,000 users for Apollo (Chrome Web Store, October 12, 2026).
Emelia’s Chrome extension does the same job on a profile (email and phone number, credits used only when found) and then adds the person to an Emelia campaign; in Sales Navigator, its “Export with Emelia” button sends a whole search to Emelia, which extracts the leads (see the extension).
Emelia: campaigns from 3 to unlimited inboxes, credits valid a year
Emelia’s plans are priced by mailboxes and LinkedIn accounts, never per user: Start at $37 excl. VAT a month connects 3 mailboxes and 1 LinkedIn account, Grow at $97 connects 50 mailboxes and 3 accounts, Scale unlimited mailboxes. Every mailbox is warmed up, and you can export your Sales Navigator searches with no limit on the number of exports from Start.
For finding emails and numbers alone, the credits subscription needs no plan: 1,000 credits for $19 a month, shared by the team and valid 12 months. Emelia has no database of its own to browse, where both RocketReach and Apollo do.
RocketReach or Apollo for a sales team
For a sales team, the gap is in how the work is shared. On RocketReach, each rep has a licence and a personal stock of lookups (4 Pro licences: $452 a month at the team price), and outreach goes through one mailbox per rep. On Apollo, the team draws on one pot of credits and runs sequences with calls from the same seat.
RocketReach claims the bigger database (700 million contacts against 210 million for Apollo, on its own comparison page; Apollo itself says 240M). Neither automates LinkedIn.
RocketReach and Apollo: contacts and phone credits
On paper, RocketReach: it claims 700 million profiles and 60 million companies, where Apollo claims 240M contacts and 30M companies. Both are each vendor’s own counts, with no independent audit.
Yes: a mobile number takes 8 credits from the same pot as emails (1 credit each). At RocketReach, the number comes in the lookup on Pro and Ultimate, and is not included on Essentials. At Emelia, a number found costs 50 credits, refunded when none is found.
